Construction work on the New Academic Block at St Xavier’s School Godavari, Nepal began in June 2017 with the clearing of the site and the laying of the foundations. However,the planning, design, architectural drawings, project management and approval for the project begun about 12 months before that. The Principal of the School and the Nepal Jesuit Society monitor directly the financial aspects of the Building Project and they are supported by the Building Construction Committee and the construction design & management team. There is also a senior engineer from the Department of Urban Development who provides additional monitoring, quality control and feedback.
The attached phots show the building site clearance and the erection of the first foundations in August 2017.
